I prefer sauna

by jeff
(portland, or)

i like the intense heat experience of the sauna.

i find i can stretch and loosen up prior to exercise more effectively. if tired or stressed, i can even occasionally 'catnap' in the sauna.

also, the dry heat of the sauna drains and drys out my sinuses. this is important as i have seasonal allergies.

my gym has both sauna and steam, and i do occasionally use the steam, but i use the sauna almost daily.

typical sauna session duration, including cool-down time, is approx 1.5 hours.
