What Is Infrared?

Here's a short description...

Infrared (IR) is a frequency band of light, but you won't see it because it's invisible to the human eye.

An IR sauna uses far infrared radiation, but don’t confuse this with atomic radiation (nuclear) or ultraviolet radiation (which can cause sunburn)!

Far infrared (FIR) heat is completely safe. It’s a form of naturally occurring energy that heats objects while slightly warming the surrounding air.

A far infrared sauna is also referred to as a FIR sauna.

More than half the Sun's power output is in the form of infrared light, though much of it is absorbed by the Earth's atmosphere.

Life needs energy from the sun, but too much sunlight damages the skin.

If you've ever spent too much time in the sun, you know this already.

FIR heat provides many of the health benefits of natural sunlight minus the skin damaging UV.
